A little history of Glen Head, NY according to Wikipedia -

Glen Head is a hamlet and census-designated place located within the Town of Oyster Bay in Nassau CountyNew York. As of the United States 2010 Census, the population of Glen Head was 4,697.

The hamlet is a part of the North Shore School District, which has traditionally ranked among the best on Long Island. Glen Head was listed as one of the wealthiest zip codes on Long Island, according to Newsday's home value listings. Additionally, it was also listed as the second most expensive zip code of the Northeast region, according to the Luxist website, and ranked 71 nationwide, according to Forbes.  Glen Head recently ranked 43rd out of 500 in Forbes national listing for the United States 500 wealthiest zip codes. However, it is essential to note that with the exception of the Incorporated Villages of Old Westbury and Mill Neck; the highly affluent Gold Coast villages of BrookvilleOld BrookvilleUpper BrookvilleMuttontown and Roslyn Harbor do not have post offices or zip codes of their own. Consequently, areas within these communities are served by the Glen Head post office and thereby use this hamlet merely for mailing addresses despite the physical address being within the limits of an incorporated village.
