1. Who is going to be my MC (Master of Ceremony)?

The Master of Ceremony (MC) is the heart and soul of your event. They are the ones who get the crowd out of their seat and onto the dance floor. You want to know who your MC is to make sure he knows what he is doing and if you like his style. Some MC’s are too loud; some are too pushy; you have to make sure that the person in charge knows your style and what you are looking for in a Wedding MC.

2. Who is going to be my DJ (Disc Jockey)?

A DJ plays a totally different role in your entertainment package than the MC does. The DJ is the person that is going to actually play the music at your wedding. He is the one that chooses if you are going to be dancing to Michael Jackson or Eminem. You want to make sure that your DJ is an experienced wedding DJ; the reason for this is because, just like any profession, there is an art to getting people out of their seats and staying on the dance floor.

3. Can I request songs?

This is your wedding day, so of course, you are going to want to have a few of your favorite songs played. That being said, you are hiring or should be hiring a professional entertainment company. They are going to know what to do and how to do it better than anyone. Giving them as much room to do their job is the best, especially if you want them to operate at their most creative level and get your guest out there dancing.

4. Do I have to pay for anything on the day of the wedding?

Some vendors want to be paid the day of the event; I have photographed hundreds of weddings throughout the years, and I would try my best to avoid dealing with money on the day of the wedding. There are so many moving parts that it is easy to forget who you have to pay. I would suggest that you try to get all your payments out of the way before your wedding day; this way, you have one less thing to be stressed about on your wedding day.

5. Do you offer an uplighting package?

Uplighting plays a big part in not only the overall ambiance, but it also plays a massive role in how your reception photos look. Without proper uplighting, the background is going to be extremely dark. However, the background can be fully saturated with the appropriate uplighting, giving an incredible glow and life to your reception photos.
